What if the StubHub tickets I'm reselling don't sell?

If you don't sell the tickets you're reselling on StubHub, they're still yours.

You might try to sell them or give them to a friend. A sale fee is only charged if the tickets are sold.

What Are StubHub's Fees?

StubHub, like all ticketing services, makes money by charging fees on ticket pricing. They will not charge you for listing tickets for sale on their site, nor will they charge consumers for simply browsing.

However, after the ticket is sold, StubHub will charge a small fee for using their ticketing system. When purchasing tickets, this cost is approximately 10%; when selling, this fee is approximately 15% of the final selling price. Assume you intended to sell a $100 ticket on StubHub. Your total would be around $85, after their fees but before taxes. Visit StubHub to see how their fees are determined.

StubHub's software provides you with a suggested price based on prior sales. Please keep in mind that, as stated on the StubHub website, these prices are simply estimates. The StubHub pay tool will also calculate your entire payout, including the service fee and estimated tax. This system updates in real time, so you can see how prices are changing in real time.

StubHub Ticket Selling Instructions

StubHub's marketplace excels at reselling tickets to huge events. The device directly maps where the seats will be, giving potential customers greater visibility up front. It also gives you the option of purchasing general admission or reserved seating tickets.

If the event has choice seating, you can specify the ticket's placement. You can also include any other features that the tickets may contain, such as parking passes.

The actual communication between buyer and seller is handled by StubHub. This is ideal if you wish to remain anonymous and avoid the hassle of price negotiations. It does, however, imply that you will be unable to effectively connect with potential ticket sellers, nor will purchasers be able to contact you regarding revised ticket pricing.

They'll have to keep checking back to see if the prices have changed, and they may choose another seller's ticket if the price is lower.

Please keep in mind that StubHub does not permit the sale of speculative tickets on its platform. In other words, tickets that have not yet gone on sale are not permitted. On the other hand, even if you haven't gotten the ticket yet, you can still advertise it as long as it was purchased.

You should also ensure that your tickets are transferable. Checking the tickets themselves should resolve this; however, if you are unsure, call the box office.

The face value of your ticket must be specified. If you're unclear or don't have this information readily available, make your best estimate for the tickets.

The website of StubHub also allows you to view the sold inventory prices, which is useful when determining an appropriate price.

StubHub's Ticket Categories

StubHub is ready to sell a variety of ticket types. Paper tickets, mobile tickets, mobile transfer screenshots, transfer tickets, PDF tickets, and, of course, totally virtual tickets for sale are all available. Before you sell tickets on StubHub, consider the type of ticket you'll be advertising.

It's also a good idea to double-check whether your tickets are transferrable via StubHub. Because certain tickets have a changeable bar code, you can't take a static screenshot or save a PDF.

StubHub's mechanism has also made it reasonably straightforward to transfer hard tickets. Keep in mind that you will need to ship these to the buyer before the event. Traditional box office tickets must be retrievable by the purchaser in order to comply with StubHub's regulations.

StubHub assures the buyer will receive the tickets before the event as part of their branding. If this does not occur, you may face a penalty.

Thank you.
