how to transfer stubhub tickets?

how to transfer stubhub tickets

Transfer tickets are those that are offered by a third party rather than the ticket agency directly.

I used the transfer feature a few years ago when I became unwell and couldn't attend a concert for which I had previously purchased tickets.

Tickets purchased on StubHub can only be transferred (sold) on StubHub.

This helps to ensure that the tickets purchased by the buyer are genuine and not counterfeit. It also assures that the seller receives payment for the tickets they sell (less StubHub's fees).

Because StubHub has the seller's credit card on file, the transaction is quite secure. If there is a problem with the tickets, the buyer will be refunded the whole price.

Ticketmaster also provides similar service for many of the events for which they sell tickets.

There may be occasions when transfer is not possible; if you intend to resell your tickets, make sure you understand all of the information about resale before purchasing them.

How to transfer a mobile ticket

To provide the buyer with a form of mobile ticket:

  1. Find the Sale details section in the email they sent you after the tickets were sold. There you can find all of the information you need to transfer the tickets.
  2. Select the tickets you sold on your original ticket supplier account (the team, Ticketmaster, AXS Flash, etc.).
  3. Transfer the tickets from your previous ticket provider account to your new account.
  4. Navigate to your StubHub International account and locate your sale. To notify them that you have already transferred your tickets, click Confirm transfer. You're OK to go if you don't see the button! Within 30 minutes of transferring the tickets, they will instantly confirm your order.

How do I send mobile tickets to a friend?

If you purchased Mobile tickets on StubHub and need to send them to a friend, you will transfer the tickets via the account that accepted the mobile tickets.

1. Sign in to your mobile ticketing account (AXS, Ticketmaster, etc.) and navigate to Tickets.
2. Select the tickets to be sent and click Transfer.
3. Enter the recipient's information, such as their email address.
4. Select Flash Transfer Preview.
5. To transmit the tickets, click Confirm Transfer.

Getting your Mobile transfer or AXS tickets

When your tickets are ready, they will send you an email. To see them on your phone, you must accept a ticket transfer.

Please keep in mind that these tickets are obtained from the original ticket provider and will not appear in your StubHub International account.

How will I get my tickets then?

When you receive the email, there will be either a 'Accept Tickets' button or instructions on how to look for another email.

  • If the email contains a 'Accept Tickets' button, click or tap it to follow the instructions for creating an account at the site where the tickets are held and accepting the transfer. It is critical that you use the same email address that you use on StubHub International.

  • If the email instructs you to check your inbox, you will receive another ticket transfer email from the primary ticket source (the team, Ticketmaster, AXS Flash, etc). To accept the transfer, click the 'Accept Tickets' button in this email.

  • Can't seem to find the email? If you haven't received the transfer offer email, check your spam or garbage folders.

How do I get to the venue on the event day?

To download and show your tickets at the gate/entrance, you will need an iPhone or Android device with an Internet connection.

If you are not a resident of the country where the event is being held, you may need to access your tickets via mobile web since the ticket provider app may not be available in your nation's app store.

They urge that you save your tickets to your wallet whenever possible prior to the event. A photo or screenshot of the tickets will not be accepted.

How to Give a Mobile Transfer Ticket to a Friend

  1. To accept the tickets, follow the actions outlined above.
  2. Log in to the account that contains the tickets (using the app or mobile web)
  3. To transfer them, use the app's ticket transfer feature.

Why are StubHub tickets less expensive than Ticketmaster tickets?

The original ticket is sold through Ticketmaster. Almost all of them, as they control the majority of the market through exclusivity contracts with the venues. They sell the ticket for 'face value,' which is the initial price in the ticketing industry. In general, a national tour costs between $80 and $100, plus additional expenses of $35 to $40.

Stubhub only sells aftermarket tickets, which are tickets that have previously been purchased at face value. That ticket is resold for whatever reason, nearly always at a greater price. To a new buyer, the price can be significantly higher (3x to 4x the face value).

This is when the terms "scalper" and "scalping" came into play. A scalper is someone who sells a ticket for more than its face value. The face value price of a ticket master is fixed. Stubhub pricing vary according on market value and demand.

The only conceivable reason to buy a ticket at Ticket Aster and then sell it for less (at a loss) is if the market is saturated with additional tickets and the seller is trying to recuperate any of their money.

A reasonably educated assumption informs me that at least 25% of all tickets sold for any national concert are going to scalpers, avoiding fans entirely. The most likely average is closer to 50%. Nobody is certain since these are well kept secrets that no one wants to divulge.

This is how a football stadium tour (such as Garth Brooks' most recent tour) can sell out 70,000 tickets in a matter of minutes. Scalpers use computer programs (dubbed "bots") to purchase up all the tickets in seconds.

Adding to the confusion, Ticket Master also scalps their own tickets. This is a secondary market website, similar to Stubhub. Tickets is the new name for that brilliant and dubious scheme.

Was that you, tmi? Because it is such a complex system, there are no simple two-sentence responses. Please feel free to clarify with me.
