 how to cancel StubHub tickets

how to cancel StubHub tickets

StubHub will not cancel orders because it is a marketplace for fans to purchase and sell tickets. You finalize the order by clicking 'Buy now.'

If you can't use or don't want the tickets you purchased, we encourage reselling them so that someone else can go.

 how to cancel StubHub tickets

Let's start with the everyday circumstances.

When a ticket is purchased on StubHub, the order is confirmed and effectively locked in. Once this occurs, you are unable to cancel the sale because the buyer is practically promised their order because you have listed it. At this point, the sale cannot be canceled.

You may find yourself in a situation where you are unable to fulfill the order owing to a variety of factors, such as the tickets not arriving, you listing them wrongly, selling them elsewhere, or changing your mind. None of these are valid grounds for you to cancel your StubHub sale.

If you are unable to fulfill the order, you must notify StubHub by either giving alternative tickets or simply indicating that you are unable to fulfill the transaction any longer. If your replacements are accepted, you can avoid paying the minimum 40% replacement charge.

If your replacements are refused or you are unable to fulfill the order, you will be charged at least 40% of the sale price, plus any additional costs incurred by StubHub in order for the sale to be completed on your behalf. It's not enjoyable.

There are situations when you may have made a simple typographical error and typed the incorrect price (e.g., $10.99 instead of $109.99). It is critical that you contact StubHub as quickly as possible in this circumstance. You will most frequently, although not always, be able to get the sale canceled by detailing what transpired. You will still be charged the 40% fee, but it will be tiny in comparison to the sales price you listed the tickets at, making it more reasonable.

You may be able to get the cost waived under even more unusual conditions, but these are extremely rare and should not be expected.

Reselling tickets bought on StubHub

  1. Navigate to 'My Tickets,' then Orders.
  2. Click or tap 'Sell your ticket' under the order information.
  3. Set your ticket price and how you want to be paid.
  4. Click the 'List Tickets' button. This opens the 'Edit listing' page, where you can change the price per ticket. If you make any changes, click 'Save.'

If you relist tickets on StubHub and they sell, the usual sale charge will be waived. The relisting procedure will inform you of the following, depending on the type of tickets you purchased:

If StubHub automatically sends the tickets to the new buyer, or
If you are required to distribute the tickets. In this instance, they will provide you instructions through email.

What is the return policy for StubHub? How can I get a refund?

The "FanProtect Guarantee" is StubHub's return policy. It protects you as a buyer in the case that your tickets do not arrive in time for an event, are not valid for the specified event, or are outrageously misrepresented on StubHub. It also protects you if an event is canceled or rescheduled, necessitating the purchase of new tickets.

If any of the following sad events occur, the following steps must be taken to obtain a refund:

Please contact StubHub customer care as soon as possible at 1-866-STUBHUB (1-866-788-2482) or customerservice@stubhub.com. Explain your scenario and include any relevant evidence. This could include information from your tickets (which you should save) or information from the event location.

StubHub may give you with one of the following options depending on the scenario:

  • A monetary refund of up to the full purchase price of your tickets
  • Fan Code credit, up to the full value of your tickets, to be used on future StubHub purchases.
  • Replacement tickets of equal or better value to those purchased

StubHub will normally send you an email with instructions on how to claim your refund if they decide to reimburse you.

Thank you
