You won't get your tickets then.


There is essentially only one explanation as to why you shouldn't accept tickets that are transferred to you after making a StubHub purchase: they weren't what you bought.


You purchase a specific set of tickets for an event on StubHub with the assumption that they will be exactly as promised. Mobile tickets must be transferred to the ultimate purchaser in order for you to own them.


When you get an email saying your tickets have been transferred, the first thing you should do is confirm your order matches what was sent to you. Check again if there is a discrepancy.


You can't argue with this because seat numbers don't have to be precise.


The StubHub upgrade policy also permits sellers to supply tickets that are up to 5 rows superior to those that were first purchased. This enables sellers to manage any listing mistakes they may have made or to obtain suitable replacement tickets if there is a problem with the delivery of the tickets on their end.

When you notice that the tickets are different from what you ordered, you should check at the seating chart and contrast the section and row with your original order.


You need not take any action if you discover that the tickets that were given to you are superior to those that you had ordered.


However, you are welcome to get in touch with StubHub customer service and ask them to look into the matter if you are unsure whether the seats are covered by the insurance or not.


They will be able to evaluate the tickets and the policy to see whether they do, in fact, fit it.


There is nothing you can do and you must keep the tickets if they are covered by the coverage. This can be a problem if you bought tickets for a certain row in order to sit with family or friends.


You can try to explain this to customer service, and they might be able to get you a credit on your subsequent purchase, or they might try to get in touch with the ticket seller to see if they have the right seats you ordered. However, there is no guarantee or requirement that the seller will send you the original purchased ticket order if the replaced tickets comply with the policy.


Since no more tickets will be issued to you after then, you must accept the ones you have.


Contact customer service


Contact customer service as soon as possible if the tickets are not what you requested, you believe they do not comply with the StubHub upgrade policy, or if you have any other questions.


You have the option to request that the appropriate tickets be given to you or to have your order fully canceled if the tickets you received do not comply with the policy (even if they were an upgrade from what you originally booked).


You could also be able to ask for more credit on your account for the inconvenience you experienced, depending on your specific circumstances.

Though keep in mind that you will NOT be accepting the ticket transfer if the tickets are not what you requested or don't comply with the regulation.


If you accept the tickets even though they are wrong, you will not be able to keep them if you later claim they are wrong. As you will either receive new tickets or have the order completely canceled, StubHub will ask that you transfer the tickets back to the original seller.


To cut a long tale short, you should always accept tickets after double-checking that they adhere to your order/upgrade policy. If the order does not satisfy these requirements, do not accept them.
